A Message from the Director: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! & Reflection on the Year 2024

Dear Apex Family,

As we reach the end of another year, I wanted to take a moment to look back at what we’ve achieved together at Apex Healthcare Services. It’s been a year filled with hard work, growth, and most importantly, the strength of our wonderful team and the people we care for. So, sit back and join me as we reflect on a truly remarkable year!

We started the year on a high note. In January 2024, we were one of the very first providers to be inspected by the regulators using the new CQC framework. It’s safe to say we were all on edge—but we came through with flying colours, receiving a Good rating in all 5 domains! The relief and pride we felt were overwhelming, and it was the perfect way to kick off an exciting year ahead.

And the good news didn’t stop there. Our hard work was recognised far and wide, both nationally and locally. We were honoured with awards that highlighted the dedication we show every day, and the difference we’re making in the lives of our clients. These awards weren’t just for the sake of recognition—they were a reflection of the passion we pour into everything we do.

Speaking of dedication, this year was a huge milestone in our training efforts. We successfully trained 373 external carers, helping to raise the bar for the standard of care across the industry. Each one of these carers is now equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver care with compassion and expertise, and that’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

But our impact didn’t stop at training. We really embraced our role in the community this year. Through community engagement activities, we reached out to more people than ever before, showing that caring isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are. It’s about building relationships, offering support, and making sure that everyone feels seen, heard, and cared for.

On top of that, we expanded our geographical reach, allowing us to connect with even more people who needed our services. As our footprint grew, so did our ability to make a difference in the lives of more families and individuals.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this year has been the feedback we’ve received from the people we care for. 65% of new enquiries now come from people who have had direct experience with our service. When people are so satisfied with the care we provide that they recommend us to others, it’s the ultimate compliment. It tells us that we’re doing something right—and we intend to keep doing it.

Our team has also been on a journey of growth this year. Several of our team members have completed Level 5 and Level 3 qualifications in health and social care, while others have taken exciting steps into other health professions. It’s incredible to see how our people are developing, and we’re so proud of their achievements.

It’s no secret that the heart of any great organisation is its people—and at Apex, we’re lucky to have a team that truly feels like family. This year, we’re thrilled to report that our team retention rate is significantly higher than the national and local averages for retention in our industry. It’s a testament to the strong, supportive culture we’ve built, where people feel valued and respected.

When it comes to our clients, we’ve achieved some truly remarkable outcomes this year. We’ve focused on providing a holistic approach to care, meeting not just the physical needs of our clients but also addressing their emotional and overall wellbeing. It’s not just about ticking boxes—it’s about improving lives, and we’ve seen that reflected in the feedback we’ve received.

And speaking of feedback, we’ve been thrilled by the support we’ve received online. This year, we’ve accumulated 110 online reviews and over 40 Google reviews, a clear indication of the trust and satisfaction people have in our services. Every review is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our team—and we couldn’t be prouder.

As I look back on all we’ve accomplished, I’m reminded that everyone who’s part of or connected to Apex becomes part of our family. Whether you’re a client, a carer, or a member of our admin team, once you’re part of Apex, you’re never alone. We’re in this together, and that’s what makes us stronger.

As we look to the future, I’m excited for what 2025 will bring. There’s still so much more to achieve, and with the amazing team we have in place, I know that we’ll continue to grow, innovate, and make a positive impact on even more lives.
